VoIP – Many Useful Features Essential for Business

Address Book 

The functionality of managing the address book via the web and synchronizing it through XML allows all users to use a centrally managed contact database directly on their phones. The XML standard enables the use of any database in the enterprise as a source. 

Do Not Disturb Mode 

We are working on an urgent task, and our phone won’t stop ringing. We get distracted and cannot finish the assigned task. The DND mode signals the line’s busy status. Activating it will allow us to focus and finish the urgent task without being distracted by the constantly ringing phone. 

Follow Me/Find Me 

This is another very useful call forwarding feature, which can direct an incoming call to 2 phones simultaneously, such as a landline and a mobile phone, or in a sequence defined by us, such as first to the landline and then to the mobile phone. Therefore, we don’t have to worry about missing important calls when we leave the office. 

Call Transfer 

Often, the caller needs to be transferred between different departments or individuals. This function allows the caller to be transferred to another phone number. It can be an internal number in the company, another landline number, or a mobile phone number. The caller remains on the line while we direct them to the appropriate person. This function is indispensable for secretariats in any company or institution. As part of the EasyCall business service, two call transfer variants are available: 

  • Blind Transfer: transferring a call without announcement to any number without returning to the caller. 
  • Attended Transfer: introducing the call to the third party before the transfer, with the possibility of returning to the original call if the third party cannot or does not want to talk. 

Call Parking 

This is another very interesting and useful function called “call parking.” It involves suspending the current call and resuming it later. There is also the possibility of parking a call on your phone and completing it on another device. This is particularly helpful in urgent situations when we need to move to another room, for example.
