How SIP TRUNK Works in the EasyCall Network Using the Example of the Platan IPPBX

Additionally, Proxima boasts good equipment parameters and ease of expansion. We receive 7 universal slots, where we can activate analog city lines (14), ISDN BRA (16), ISDN PRA (1), GSM cards (4) or up to 200 VoIP ports, which can be successfully used to configure EasyCall services. In the more powerful Proxima plus, the number of VoIP ports can even be 1000. 

Large Call Center in a Small Device 

The exchange offers Intelligent Traffic Distribution which along with queuing waiting calls, call recording, voicemail and advanced voice menu scenarios, allows for excellent organization of a large number of calls. The innovative See Who’s Talking feature enables video calls, which can enhance everyday conversations. The compact, universal housing of the exchange allows for flexible installation – either on a wall or in a telecommunications cabinet. 

 What’s surprising is the possibilities that the Proxima exchange opens up. We can build dialing schemes using a multi-level voice menu system, organizing incoming traffic using IVR (Interactive Voice Response). We have virtually unlimited levels and hotlines at our disposal. 

Uniform Call Distribution (UCD) allows directing calls to consultants based on their workload or making automatic calls through caller ID recognition (ACD). Blacklists eliminate malicious calls and VIP statuses indicate numbers with priority in the queue of waiting calls. We can also establish Time for Notes, i.e., time allocated for people answering phones in Common Call Groups to take notes after each conversation, enter data into the database, etc. During this time, no further calls will be directed to that person. 

The Agent 003 application offers interesting functionality for handling calls recorded by Proxima. It is possible to precisely define the type of recorded calls (internal, incoming city, outgoing city) and the users who are to be recorded. There is also an option to mark a user whose conversations will never be recorded (e.g., the director). The accompanying Archivist application allows saving conversations from one or multiple locations on a designated hard drive. 

Custom-tailored Set 

IP PBX Server Proxima provides numerous functionalities that facilitate both its configuration and further use. But that’s not all. EasyCall’s SIP TRUNK service is a modern replacement for traditional digital telephony conducted on ISDN PRA/BRA connections, which allows for the establishment of multiple simultaneous voice calls through a so-called virtual channel (TRUNK). SIP TRUNK enables multi-channel voice transmission over the Internet and is carried out using the SIP (Session Initiation Protocol). This solution is especially suitable for companies that have a PBX system and own call/contact centers where they handle many simultaneous voice calls. 

Outgoing calls through SIP TRUNK can display one common main number provided by EasyCall, any number transferred from another operator or a mobile number. Connecting the SIP TRUNK service with the Proxima exchange will also allow for the redirection of incoming calls to internal numbers assigned to individual employees or departments in the company. 

Another advantage is the ease of configuring the service, which should not take more than a few minutes. After purchasing and activating SIP TRUNK at easyCALL.pl, simply add the leading number as a city line. Providing authentication data will allow for the registration of the exchange on the EasyCall server, while other numbers just need to be entered as internal lines for individual employees and departments.
