Recommended Mobile Applications for Use with EasyCall VoIP

Free softphone applications are gaining increasing popularity among internet telephony customers, including business users. Simultaneously, there is a significant interest in the functionality and mobility of using applications on modern mobile phones, known as smartphones. Most importantly, to use such an application, all you need is internet access. Softphone applications are designed mainly for smartphones or tablets with Android and iOS systems. There are also some that can be installed on PCs with Windows or macOS. 

Softphone applications allow greater mobility for customers who travel frequently and need to have a phone with cheap calls to various often exotic destinations worldwide. Industries that usually use such a solution include transport, logistics, distribution, and it is particularly widely used among sales representatives. Using an EasyCall VoIP account on such an application allows for significant reduction in call costs and the possibility of free contact within your company network, even when outside the office.

Zoiper 

The most popular application among EasyCall customers is Zoiper. It is available for all systems, i.e., Android, iOS, Windows, and macOS. Thanks to the wide choice of operating systems, every customer can match the application to their needs. The ease of installation and use allows anyone to quickly configure the application on a smartphone and PC. The application also has a Polish interface. Zoiper allows for making phone calls both via GSM networks including 3G, 4G, LTE, and via internet connection through WiFi. Of course, to minimize data transmission costs, we recommend using WiFi, which often also makes the connection more stable. The application uses the address book; you only need to grant it permissions during account configuration, making contact with customers particularly easy. If you have a device that can record video, it is possible to conduct video calls – simply select the SIP login of your interlocutor in the dialer. Additionally, using the application, you can call multiple people simultaneously through the conference function. 

If you have more than one SIP account, the Zoiper application allows for adding additional voice accounts, but this is only possible after purchasing the Premium version (paid). The application can be used both stationary in the office, e.g., on a PC or laptop, but the most freedom and mobility are provided by using the application for calls on our smartphone, saving on calls, especially international ones.

Grandstream 

The company Grandstream, providing the second application we describe today, is mainly known for selling VoIP devices for business and corporate customers. Grandstream Wave is an application aimed at users with smartphones running Android or iOS. It allows for configuring up to 6 voice accounts and supports codecs: GSM, G.711, G.722 (HD). It enables making calls via WiFi as well as GSM (3G, 4G, and LTE). Using it, you can also make video calls and set up voice conferences with up to 6 directions simultaneously. 

Other Applications 

The other two applications mentioned at the beginning are Linphone and MizuDroid. These applications are currently less popular among EasyCall customers than the previously mentioned Zoiper and Grandstream Wave. However, they are gaining popularity due to their easy and simple voice account configuration. We allowed ourselves to describe both applications so that each of you can test, compare, and evaluate them on your own. 

Both applications are very similar, offering the ability to use calls both via GSM and WiFi. They also offer a wide selection of codecs that enhance call quality. Remembering, of course, that the main factor affecting call quality is the internet we use, and therefore we recommend using WiFi or (in the case of PC/laptop) using a wired connection with constant internet access. 

The mentioned applications also enable the use of video calls, so you can see your interlocutor, regardless of whether you are conducting a business conversation or simply contacting your loved ones. During business contacts, it is possible to create conferences and add additional participants. 

Using Mobile Applications at Home and on the Road 

The growing interest in VoIP services among business users also means an increasing choice of available mobile applications. Many people using the services of mobile operators want to use telephone solutions and calls as cheaply as possible, not only in the country but also when abroad. This is related not only to the mobility and migration of people worldwide in search of better jobs or establishing business contacts but also to the growing popularity of tourist trips and organized tours. Consequently, more and more people are using VoIP telephony solutions on mobile devices, mainly smartphones. Currently, the fastest and simplest solution for cheap calls is to install a mobile application on a smartphone.
